Meet the team

We are Elena and Liubov, two friends and behaviour specialists living in Estonia. Both of us are passionate about dog welfare and have studied dog behaviour from the best specialists of the field: Turid Rugaas, Anne Lill Kvam, Dr. Amber Batson, Julia Robertson and others. To help dogs live happier lives, we learned to look at the world from the dogs' point of view to truly understand how they feel.

Through our work time and time again we saw dogs not enjoying their walks, wearing restrictive equipment and their caretakers struggling to find good quality gear that would fit their dog and suit their needs.

We knew dogs and their caretakers deserved better equipment to enjoy their walks. And this is how the Canuzzo was born.

Elena has been volunteering and working with shelter dogs in different countries since 2012. But only after her special dog Ciro has found her in one of the shelters, she started to dig deeper into dog behaviour and dog psycology in order to understand him better, help him cope with different life situations and build harmonious relationships within the family.

As a result she enrolled in the International Dog Training School led by Lisbeth Borg de Waard from the Nordic Education Center for Ethical Dog Trainers and graduated in 2020.

Since then Elena has worked as dog behaviourist in Tallinn, Estonia. In 2021 Elena has become a teacher and course manager in the Nordic Education Center for Ethical Dog Trainers, where she has led courses alongside professionals such as Turid Rugaas, Anne Lill Kvam and Dr Amber Batson both online and offline.

Elena is the creator of "Sobcast" - an educational YouTube project about dogs in Russian.

Elena is constantly updating her knowledge by attending trainings and courses by international specialists, including Specialising in Dog Aggression and Sensory Integration. Elena is currently studying to be Massage Therapist with Galen Myotherapy.

Lyubov’s introduction into the dog world happened through her first rescue ex-street dog Vita, who - as many streeties do - used a wide range of body language signals and was a real teacher for Lyubov.

After realising it was her dream to help more dogs live happier lives and much research into ethical dog training schools, Lyubov started learning from Turid Rugaas at the International Dog Trainer Education in Spain in 2018. Lyubov joined the Pet Dog Trainers of Europe in 2019 and completed her dog trainer education in 2020. Her other education includes courses of renowned veterinarian and behaviourist Dr Amber Batson from the UK, countless international conferences and webinars by reputable dog experts. Lyubov believes that the learning never stops and keeps updating her knowledge all the time.

Lyubov has been a teacher in the Nordic Dog Trainer school since 2022 together with Elena and is part of the international educational project The Smiling Leash since 2019.

Thanks to her second important teacher, an ex-shelter dog Heidi, Lyubov is passionate about improving lives of sensitive dogs and teaching their humans to understand their dogs better.
